Fight Commentary (Antony Acierno vs Desmond Brown) [D2 EA]

[Jason Brooks]

A small table was set up near the arena for the two commentators to discuss the fight and offer their commentary for the fans watching on television. One of the commentators was wearing a suit and a headset.

"Hello everyone and welcome to the first match of The Oceanside Rumble! I'm ANN correspondent Jason Brooks, and with me today is Citaly Velasco, star of the popular telenovela 'The Flavor of Love.' We're looking forward to a bunch of really good fights today, folks."

[Citaly Velasco]

Citaly nodded enthusiastically. "We sure have some interesting matchups in store! Our first fight is two local boys and two unusual Monsters! The Zephid is a fascinating little jet bug, and I don't think I've ever even seen a Dronnimer in person before! What do you think about the matchup, Jason?"

[Jason Brooks]

"I think this one might come down to speed. Both monsters are pretty well armored, so this might end up being a matter of who can strike fastest."

His tone shifts as he becomes more excited. "It reminds me of Season 3, episode 14 of The Flavor of Love, when Fabian Mendoza fought a Temprill over the rights to your character's diamond mine."

[Fiadh]

Fiadh was quietly watching next to her fiery brother. Not speaking or looking at anything but the arena as she watched the action in front of them. Riki seemed interested also, a small growl escaping as the fight went on.

[Citaly Velasco]

"I think this one might come down to speed. Both monsters are pretty well armored, so this might end up being a matter of who can strike fastest."

His tone shifts as he becomes more excited. "It reminds me of Season 3, episode 14 of The Flavor of Love, when Fabian Mendoza fought a Temprill over the rights to your character's diamond mine."

"That flying will make the Dronnimer a real contender purely on speed," she agreed. "We'll see if it can hold up to that in practice."

She chuckled at the thought of the fight. "I remember that!" She struck a dramatic pose. "'No, Fabian! Don't get hurt for me! Even if we lose the mine, my true passion is here... with the restaurant. With you!'" After holding her pose her a minute, she settles back into her chair with a soft laugh. "That was quite a plotline."

[Jason Brooks]

"As wonderful a read as the day it was filmed," Jason says, grinning as he compliments her. "Now, what I'm going to do is, I'm going to..." He motions to some of the AMBA officials. "...okay, they're bringing us umbrellas, Citaly. I'm not sure if this Zephid is planning to conjure up a rainstorm, but I want to make sure that we stay dry so that we can keep reporting on this match."

[Citaly Velasco]

"Certainly... you can never be too careful when it comes to being near Monster battles."

[Calico Carter]

Calico shielded her eyes when the little robot went nova, so she missed the move that took it out. As she blinked down at the ring, she bit her lip.

That was a hell of a hit.

[Jason Brooks]

"It looks like... yes! The Zephid has just crushed its opponent by throwing a rock at it! It looks like Desmond's strategy to play defensively until the big attack paid off. It just goes to show, Citaly, that at the end of the day, the best strategy is sometimes still just throwing rocks at stuff until they break."

[Citaly Velasco]

"Well, if we're still using the oldest strategy available since we relied on teeth and fists, there must be something to it, as our winner, Desmond Brown, and Zephid have shown! Congratulations to him! Both competitors and their monsters put in a great effort!"

[Jason Brooks]
