Fight Commentary (Calico Carter vs Chandra Ellison) (D4 EA)

[Jason Brooks]

A small table was set up near the arena for the three commentators to discuss the fight and offer their commentary for the fans watching on television.

"Welcome to the third round of The Oceanside Rumble, everyone! I'm Jason Brooks, here with Citaly Velasco and up-and-coming popstar Ashley Elle, here on ANN. Our second match of the semi-finals involves Calico Carter versus AMBA's alternate, Chandra Ellison. Chandra's Scovine can put out a lot of searing, burning fire very quickly, which might prove to be a challenge to Calico's style of simply putting her opponents to sleep in order to take the win. What do you ladies think of this matchup?"

[Felix Lang]

Felix sat in the stands cheering very loud for Calico when she is announced. It seemed the big man brought that high energy positive attitude to most everything including cheering on a friend.

Suramu was there too and mostly feeding off Felix gave his own shouts of support.

[Fiadh]

From her vantage point, Fiadh watched on with crossed arms. Riki was not with her, the Dragon being treated for his injuries at that time

[Rayfe Drathmire]

Rayfe had promised Calico he would be watching her match. He had hoped to be sitting with his bright eyed Magnox. Her tail would be wagging. She's be too noisy with excitement for him to bear.

That wasn't the case.

He did, however, have the young Magnox draped over his lap. Her eyes were closed, fast asleep. Once she had been treated and gained consciousness, Nyx had refused to be left with the medics and followed Rayfe up to the stands where she promptly passed out.

He watched the match with interest, idly stroking his monster's fluffy mane. It was beyond impressive how defiantly the Saturnadus dispelled the Scovine's ferocious flames.

Well done, coldsnap. Rayfe raises his hands and claps for the victors. Now you just have to see it to the end. One more match to go.

[Felix Lang]

Felix also clapped loud when he saw the fiery plant fall unconscious. "Hell yeah! Told you you had this!" He shouted down toward Calico.

He looked to the side and saw the man who had just lost the match before and moved a little closer "Hey you put up a hell of a fight against that Dragon. We didn't even manage to hurt it." He looked sympathetically at the Magnox, Felix was familiar with the damage that maguana was capable of.

[Rayfe Drathmire]

Rayfe doesn't initially realize someone is speaking to him until the word dragon is spoken, at which point he bristles and swiftly looks over to the source of the voice. He flattens out a bit when he sees the follow competitor, and he seems... friendly?

"Oh. Thanks..." He looks down at his Magnox and scritches her softly behind the ears. "Yeah, she's quite tough for her size... That Maguana was just much tougher."

[Felix Lang]

Suramu jumped up on Felix's back and looked over, he may have been a little over three feet tall but considering Felix was a bit over double that it didn't bother him too much.

He nodded "no kidding our electric attacks never managed to scratch it."

He extended a hand with a bright smile "Felix." He didn't expect peoole to remember him most of the time.

[Rayfe Drathmire]

"Rayfe." He answers with a firm handshake.

Nyx cracks an eye open at all of the movement and conversation. She lifts her head and blinks curiously at the Temprill.

"Ah, so you have the... Yes. I was curious about if we were to match up earlier on." Rayfe grinned a bit. "Our electric attacks wouldn't be quite effective against you. Would have been an interesting match."

[Felix Lang]

Suramu eyes the mending magnox curiously back peering just over Felix's blue and yellow hair.

"Yeah, would have been a great fight. I might have actually landed a blow." He said with a laugh.

"Was kind of hoping to go against you, though after seeing that match we probably got lucky we didn't."

[Rayfe Drathmire]

Rayfe smiles a bit in turn. "Well, I wouldn't mind having an unofficial match with you..?" He brushes his hand through Nyx's fur and glances down at her. "Could use the practice. And she seems to enjoy battling, so long as there's something fun afterwards."

Nyx tilts her head at the strange creature. She snorts a weak greeting through her nose.

[Felix Lang]

"Yeah! Good practice is the only way to get stronger." He replied happily "I usually do most of the sparring and training with Suramu now but I'm not sure how long that'll last. He's gonna get so much stronger than me soon."

Suramu makes a few small chattering sounds in reply to Nyx's snort but does not yet move down off Felix's back.

[Rayfe Drathmire]

"Mm. That's a good thing, when they get stronger. Then you just have to worry about feeding them more. A lot more... " He laughs a bit. "We'll have to set that up. I'll be in town at least until the tournament is over. What about you?"

Nyx gives Suramu eyes that she really wants to play... but she's tired. The Magnox leans her head back down and swishes her tail for Suramu.

[Felix Lang]

Felix blanched for a moment, the ever present smile falling from his lips at the crushing realization "Oh no.......you're totally right...." He pressed his palms to his eyes dramatically "I have no idea how I'm going to pay for this guy once he gets to full size. He already eats almost as much as I do." He gave a rueful smile and shook his head "a problem for another day I suppose."

He took a breath and nodded "but yeah im the same, went out early but I don't have anything pressing to worry about so" He shrugged "might as well see who takes it all."

Suramu for his part made his way around Felix and Rayfe to the tail that was swishing and watched it transfixed for a moment by all its bushy glory.

[Fiadh]

A small snarl escaped as the result was confirmed. So that was Riki's last opponent, and it fought in a way they hadn't faced anywhere before. She turned and walked away to the medical area to pick up Riki. They had some talking to do.

[Rayfe Drathmire]

Rayfe couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Don't worry too much. When they're bigger... they're stronger. They can take on more difficult challenges. It will be easier to find work with him looming over your shoulder. A thunderstorm of pure muscle at that point. Mm?"

Nyx huffs out through her nose. Some of the light was returning to her eyes. Play? Play? Her tail went still. Then she abruptly swishes it to one side, like a fleeing piece of prey, to see if Suramu wanted to chase it.
